Big Wednesday March 28, 2018

A large swell hit the Outer Banks on Wednesday March 28, 2018 and for once this Winter, things cleaned up and we had some of the largest waves we have had in a while. While a spot in Kitty Hawk was also breaking but needed jet-ski assistance to get to the line-up, the excellent paddle channel next to Jennette's Pier allowed access for a brave few up for the challenge. A rare day that required longer guns to catch these fast movers, Frank Brown walked to the end of the pier to get a closer look. With the pier standing at 1000 feet long and the swell breaking another 500 to 900 feet beyond, this was the best vantage point for Frank to snap a few photos of the rides that went down.
